I remember seeing this several months back, and it's what led me to watch you in the first place. Then it just happened to show up on my deviantwatch again today. First off, this is a gorgeous picture, and I think the drawing was obviously well envisioned and inspired. The way you made Luna's hair flow fits perfectly with the idea of the poem, and I love the space themed background. This is a very peaceful picture.
There's very little I could recommend for you to improve upon, really. The way her hair forks at the very end of her bangs looks a little unnatural to me, and in the space/background part of the picture it might be interesting to add a tiny bit more color. Some warmer, softer colors would have given it the perfect ambience to me. Again, aside from that, I have very little to criticise here. Keep up the good work.
I've always been fascinated by Season 2 Luna's hair. Celestia's mane was alright, but Luna's actually captured her element: The night. I always thought that maybe it was just sparkles in her mane, but this brings a whole new perspective. She carries the night in her mane, and consequently the stars.
In that case, then she might also carry space. It's fantastic, both the poem and the drawing. They almost make me think of a story one might tell to a child right before bed. But it is certainly beautiful, and most definitely worth a five star rating. I hope others find this just as beautiful.
A heartfelt thank you, my dear, and an equally genuine 'you're welcome' as well! I love to see plushies with actual expressions instead of just the standard wide-eyed smile. It gives them more character.
